Quick Thursday Review.
Having this Monday night with a cookie. The cookie was chocoloate chip coconut, macadamia nut. It was fantastic.
The beer was… bitter. Most oatmeal stouts have a nice sweet finish. This one didn’t. The smell was boozy, despite a relatively low 5% alcohol content. I could smell the grains and oats, but I couldn’t taste them.
The beer wasn’t clean with it’s bitter finish either. Hung around for a while. It’s a drinkable beer, though. One you could knock back quickly. The best part of this beer was the pour. Take a look at that head. That head is noteworthy.
Usually when you get a pour like that, you’re expecting a HUGE mouthfeel. A beer you want to hang out with.
This one just didn’t go with my dessert.
